British Earl Becomes Charity Patron
A British peer and member of the European Parliament is the latest high profile name to become patron of Afghan Heroes.
The Earl of Dartmouth, William Legge MEP, will provide support to the charity that has become one of the most high profile military support groups since its launch in September 2009.
Founder Denise Harris said: “To have someone like the Earl of Dartmouth support our charity is fantastic. We hope his position will help raise the profile of what we’re trying to do not only to the general public but to those who represent the country in Westminster and Brussels." Read More...
Our Mission
Is to support all our service personnel operating in theatre in Afghanistan, by providing the much needed "home comfort" supplies and gifts to the 10,000 service personnel, to promote and embrace the new initiative "Thank The Troops" and to ensure our soldiers know they are not alone. On the home front we will set up support groups for the families of the fallen. We will also set up regional network groups and events so families can come together and support each other.

How You Can Help
By donating to Afghan Heroes through Bmycharity (www.bmycharity.com/afghanheroes ) you can be assured that all donations will have a direct and positive impact upon our service personnel serving in Afghanistan. There are other ways of helping by donating time, packing gift boxes, organising events or just helping on the day of any events in your area.
Fallen Hero
Our thoughts and prayers are with the family and friends of Corporal Stephen Thompson of 1st Battalion The Rifles, who we are very sad to report has been killed during the operations in Afghanistan. Although no words can really help to ease your loss, just know that you are very close in everyone’s thoughts. Our hearts go out to you in your time of sorrow.

Wristbands Update
*** We have recently been contacted several times from people concerned that they have not yet received their wristbands. We would like to assure people that they will receive their wristbands as soon as possible. This is due to an instance of demand far exceeding supplies.
However we can clarify that all orders made before (and including) February 10th have been fulfilled - and we are waiting on the next batch which we have been promised will be ready for sending out during the week commencing March 15th. ***
Once again we thank you for your support and patience.
